Young Hummingbird Bathing

yes, I could do that Alex, putting a coin on the fountain, but the larger birds that drink there would probably soon knock the coin down : ) I thought the shots of the hummers bathing on the wet rhodo leaves would give a good idea as to their size also, in some of the earlier pics.

As usual this is great. This hummer definitely looks different. It helps to see the bird not in flight or engaged in a particular activity. It does appear different in color (possibly age and/or lighting as you said). Alandra, why not put something familiar like a coin on the fountain to help give us a sense of perspective and size in future shots.

thankyou Veverly and Carol. Yes, this one is a lot paler than the females that were here earlier, I think it's due to it being young. But also, the sun was very bright, and have noticed that the hummer shots turn out better if it's not as bright.

Nicely done. His colors seem pale, is that because he's young? Anyhow, nice composure and focus.
