About This Image

This is a young Cottontail that let me take it's photo. It was in my neighbors yard and figured it was safe letting me get closer with the chain-link fence between us. The wild critters aren't dumb.. I used a narrow depth of field to make the fence invisible.

Hi Karen and Julie, Thanks very much for your wonderful comments.. It is cool how thin there ears are letting the sun shine through them. Out in the desert there like red lights letting me spot them. I was happy the way the fence disappeared, I was about twenty feet from the fence and the rabbit was another good twenty feet inside the yard. I was using my 75-300mm maxed out at 300mm and F/5.6 that helped a lot. ~Alan~

Very nice! We had a few in our yard this year, actually almost on the patio once! Great job working through the fence, I can't tell its there at all!

I really like how the light shines through that translucent ear. Well captured wildlife shot.
