About This Image

Taken at Marshy Point Nature Center, bordering the Chesapeake Bay. I think I'm lucky to get close enough to these guys.

Length 5.5" wingspan 9.25" - I guess a little bigger than a wren. According to the Sibley Field Guide to Birds of Eastern Nrth America you would only see them during migration. They summer in northern Canada and winter in the middle to souther US

great shot, it has a lot of warmth to the colouring of the entire photo. have never seen one of these birds, - not sure if they are seen in this area of the westcoast of Canada. Are they approx the size of a wren?
