How inviting the scene looks, just waiting for someone to take a walk along the path into the beauty of the woods. The guard tree is assuring us all is well. An elf whispered it into her ear, before running along the pathway to dust the flowers. A lovely picture.

Hi Mike. Yes, you're right about the subtle beauties of spring. Actually, this is not Ashridge, but the back of Hayes, about 400 metres from the A40!!

Thanks Lorraine. You know, I've never thought about the grass, and I've no idea what the answer is! I suspect the grass near the path is kept in check by rabbits and people walking. I don't think sheep graze there.

A very nice image, how do they care for the grounds, did they graze sheep or are they mowed by caretakers?
