About This Image

Normally wisteria is a vine but this was trained to be a small tree. I thought it was quite interesting.

I am wondering if I ruined it by taking its photo. The plant is not showing flowers since.

This is in a front yard but sure would make a back yard look nice.

I'd like to have some wisteria like this growing in my backyard.

What a beautiful vine tree! I really like it!! I have seen Wistera before but never close enough to realize the trunk is also a tree or CAN be one. Great picture!!

Thanks!! The tree survived the hurricane. The house is no longer owned by the same people. Other people have moved in and are a mess. They have a bunch of trash in their front yard. I hope the wisteria survives these people.

Thanks. It is knarled due to being a vine that was made into a tree.

Very pretty little tree, I love the knarled trunk.

I don't know how I missed this comment of almost a year ago but thank much!!! The tree is right down the road from where I live. It only blooms in certain times of the year. The rest of the year it looks like branches sticking out of the ground.

WOW!!! Thats a neat shot Dud.
Guest - Jun 28, 2005 09:55 AM EDT
Thanks. It is a tree but not. It is actually a vine that was shaped like a tree.

This tree is gorgeous and so unusual, great picture. Carol

Thanks for the comment. Down here in Louisiana we have something blooming all year round. The one day it snowed we even acted like a bunch of blooming idiots.

very nice, Dud. Love the scent of wisteria. ours won't be blooming for awhile yet.

Thanks for the comments. I did not know what I had taken a picture of, thinking it to be a pretty tree. Mom told me whoever it belonged to worked with the vine to form it into the tree. Note the twisted trunk. It is actually interwoven vine.

Yes, it is. Thanks for sharing it.
