On a tour of Alcatraz Island (former prison). This was one of the few windows for use by the inmates in the entire prison. Looked across the water to the skyline of San Francisco. The headsets the people are wearing are for the tour. It seemed like just everybody had to take a look.

I also agree, a very interesting photo that makes you think and is really fun to view. I noticed the bottom of the windows frame is worn from I think people touching it to get close to the window. Makes you think about the wishes and promises that must have been made at that window.

What an eerie place it must be.This is a interesting insight as to what it must have been like to be there.
