About This Image

Taken at a windpower museum in Lubbock, Texas. There was a display of windmills from the 1800's to the newest wind turbines. My brother took the shot and I digitized it, cropped and post-processed the image. To me this shows winds of change.

Adding my belated Congrats, Karen, - and echoing the other comments here. Have been missing out on the contests lately, - can't keep up :) have been delving into Family History again, - both the photography and genealogy are very time-consuming hobbies!

Thank you to everyone for your kind words of encouragement. This was only a small selection of models at the museum. I liked the mixture of old and new. That was a large storm building in the background. This part of Texas is famous for its storms.

I really like this shot. There is a wind farm in Atlantic City but its the new turbines. I like the old windmills.

What a nice collection of windmills although there isn't a huge noticable difference until you look at the three bladed turbine.

I like the contrast between old and new here. The colours and varying design of the structures is nice to see and you've composed the shot really well, to get the most out of that beautiful sky and the cloud formation. :)
