Thanks for the great comment Ann,I'm glad you enjoyed it.I didn't use any artificial lighting,just the morning sun and shadows darkened the background.

Whittler this is a wonderful macro. Did you use artificial light and/or did you use PS for the background? You are a master at getting clear and beautiful close ups on animals and flowers. I ask as I'm trying to learn. Thank you.

I so do love florals and this one caught my eye right away. The lighing is dazzling as it fliters through the petals. The compositions is simple and strong especially with the small tilt of the stem. The contrasting white and black make for a stong composition also. mmmm.... This is stunning.....
