yes, I think Bob's right. the head markings look a lot like our golden Crowned sparrows, except for the white bib or throat.

Alex--looks like a White Throated Sparrow---Yellow over the eyes and the white patch under the neck. Winters in the southern US. Field guide to birds east of the Rockies. Bob
