Thanks for commenting, Chriss, Jas, Lorraine, and Ann. Seems like most of you think it is a Rhodo, which it may be. It is just much bigger than most of them that are around here.

Talsi, this is a beautiful image love the colouring, must agree with Jas looks very much like a Rhododendron flower. If you could give me a few more details I'll try and find out for you. Chriss35:)

Gorgeous soft colour and pretty markings on the textured petals. The deep, red stamens really stand out. I'm not sure...can't see the foliage very well here, but it has the look of a rhododendron. Was it a single bloom or one of a cluster? I think Chriss35 will come up with an answer; she's very good at flower names. :)

What a beautiful bloom on this flower. I don't know it, Talsi. It has the look of a type of lily, but I may be way off. I like the texture of the petals and the colors that are within the bloom. What a beautifully taken photograph.
