Walnuts

Thanks Steve for looking in, I wish I had known about the stains, the first time I collected them my hands looked terrible from the stain, I scrubbed alot off, but the rest just had to wear off.

I love walnuts, and this is a very good illustration of how they grow. I remember as a child being warned not to touch the walnut fruits for fear of the powerful brown stains from the juice of the fleshy covering being mistaken for nicotine stains!

Thankyou Carol and Sparkle for looking in and the kind comments. Last year we took 10, 10litre buckets from this tree, the trouble is neither of us eat them. we managed to find quite a few neighbours that did.

Great shot. It is difficult for me to imagine a walnut comes from a plant or tree. But they got to come from somewhere. Down south right?
