About This Image
summer evening view (6pm) of Vancouver's West End highrises from Vanier Park, - False Creek can be seen from center to R side of image, and Stanley Park trees can be seen from the ending of the highrises to the Left side of image.
False Creek is a popular area to fly kites, and you can see a yellow kite infront of one of the highrises.
Oh, and that sculpture/monstrosity :) as some call it, is known as "The Gateway to the Northwest Passage", honoring Captain George Vancouver who discovered this area. Wonder what Captain George would think of it? lol Your eyes do adjust to it after awhile :)
