Beautiful photo. It should be in a magazine or a postcard. Neighbors of mine took that cruise a few years ago. Dreamin' here too.

many thanks Karen for the nice compliments. I also liked the way the mountains show different colours, reminds me of some paintings by an artist who used to live in BC. We used to live in that area, so this is how we know the good scenery/vantage points. I was climbing up on the SUV taking some of these shots over the top of the vehicle. Not liking heights, it was a bit of a challenge, and DH had to help me back down : )

You certainly find the best vantage points for your photos. I like how the mountains show up as different colors. Nice depth of field.

well, maybe we can all do that someday! wouldn't it be fabulous if you two, Carol and Alex and us, and Tam, could all meet and go on that Alaskan cruise together! my cousin and wife, from England, took the cruise awhile ago for their Silver wedding anniversary and loved it.

Absolutely gorgeous. I sailed on the Holland America Cruise Line several years ago. It was fantastic . It is a wish of mine to cruise to Alaska.

yeah, nice to dream, right Tam. We should take that cruise sometime soon, as it's so handy for us to just go into Vancouver to board the ship, from where we are. we know someone who is currently on an Alaska cruise with his family, and am wondering if they are on a ship from this same "line". altho they sailed from Seattle, Washington.

thanks, Carol. yes, it's very beautiful there. Some visitors were sitting on a bench overlooking one of the scenes, and if I'd sat down, would have had a hard time ever leaving : )
