Valley mist

Thanks Mary and Carol. The mist was a bonus as it really added atmosphere to the shot. It also adds to the illusion of depth, I think. You're right about the depth of field, Mary, although I was helped by the fact that I was looking at this scene from a vantage point quite high up. So even the foreground detail was some distance away from me, meaning that although I was using a relatively wide aperture, it gave me enough DoF to work with.

Very pretty landscape. It's nice that you caught the mist rising. I also like that you can see the distant landscape...(is that called depth of field?) Well done.
