About This Image

The original image was made in 2001 but it was digitized in Oct 2004. The film was monochromatic black and white and was developed and printed using color chemicals and paper. So the sepia tone is the way it printed. After I digitized the image, I adjusted the color and contrast so that the edge of the leaves picked up the light and had a slightly bronze tone.

How lovely, Frank. You did a wonderful job of editing this image - it's so vibrant.

The softness and cepia go hand in hand! That's what makes this picture so warm and inviting.

Thanks, Mel, for your very nice comments. The blossom of the magnolia is one of my favorite subjects to photograph. There are lots of those trees near where I live, so try to get a new favorite image evry summer.

This is lovely, yet I'm surprised nobody has commented. The leaves almost look like chocolate. I love the softness, the effects you have used are awesome. Well done.
