About This Image

This sign at the top of the Neversink River overlook in Fallsburg, New York, is definitely tongue-in-cheek. The No Diving and No Swimming portions are smart . . . but the last line . . . wellll, if anyone decides to swim or dive . . . chances are, there will be no one to prosecute.

Im my other images, the beautiful surface reflections belie what's underneath - crags, currents and other dangers. This is an area to admire with a camera or to fish from - with care. To enter these waters at this point is pure folly.

Thanks for looking, Lorraine and Jas. I can't imagine anyone going in the water here and emerging whole!!! Jas - a few years ago I met my birth mom and half brothers . . . the twisted humor is definitely genetic . . . I used to blame it on living in Emgland for 6 years!!!! Can't do that anymore. My oldest half-brother is, happily, equally demented!!! Vicki
