About This Image

Wanganui's water tower sits upon a hill overlooking the river city. Access to the tower is via a tunnel cut into the hillside.

Thanks for all the comments. The tunnel is made to look longer by the lens, actually only 70m approx.

Brilliant image. One could not ask for a more perfect illustration of the concept of "vanishing point". The subtle colours add to the pleasure.

I agree with Alandra, this is a really unique and eye catching photo. Very nice job with the dead center composition, sure looks like a long walk.
