About This Image

the approaching tug and barge it was towing, on the North Arm of the Fraser River in the Southlands area of Vancouver this evening. I have no idea where the scrap was being taken to.
We went there hoping to see green herons, but no luck this day.

thanks Susan and Alex D for the nice comments. Yes, it was interesting to watch the tug and the huge load approaching as we sat there on a nice bench beside the river that evening.

How amazing, such a small tug pulling that huge load. Great picture.

Wow! Now that is an interesting photo. That little tug pulling something nearly ten times it's size.

thanks very much, Doug. Dusk was happening when these were taken, so wasn't too sure how this more distant shot would turn out, - so am happy it's viewable

thankyou Mary and Beverly. Was surprised also at the difference in size between the tug and the load on the barge. It looked nice as it approached. No, Mary, I wasn't using a tripod, - I never do, btw. No photos of mine here have been taken using a tripod.

It is interesting. Hardly seems like that little tug could pull that large barge that's loaded with scrap metal

Interesting photo capturing the difference in size of the tug boat and barge. Were you using a tripod?
