A remarkable mural in La Souterraine, which is incredibly realistic!

Guest - Apr 23, 2007 02:16 AM EDT Thanks Vicki! Yes, it was expecting rather a lot for anyone to have recognised her from this miniscule image!! :) We don't let our French house - we're far too possessive about it for that!!!
We were married in France but not in this town. Our wedding was in Le Dorat - you can see a night time picture of the church here on TLF entitled "La Collégiale du Dorat".
Guest - Apr 20, 2007 11:35 PM EDT That was sneaky - the photo's a wee bit small to realize it was her there! Are you letting the new place or going back and forth quite a bit? Is this where you two were married? Vicki
Guest - Apr 20, 2007 02:29 AM EDT Thanks, Vicki - I thought you'd like this painting! Funny you should mention my wife as she's the small figure just emerging from the shadows into the sunlight! No, she's not French, but she loves the place as much as I do, and we're both looking forward to moving there to live in a few years' time.
Guest - Apr 19, 2007 08:41 PM EDT I love these paintings, Steve. It doesn't even fight the old town's essence. Just wonderful. As often as you head for the Continent, is your beautiful wife French? Vicki
Guest - Apr 19, 2007 04:42 PM EDT Thanks Golda and Mike! Yes, I've been lazing around in France over Easter! And Mike, I know which picture you're talking about - one I took in Limoges. I suspect, but I don't know for sure, that both murals were done by the same artist.
