Guest - Nov 08, 2007 09:32 PM EDT great image, am surprised I didn't see this before. Cute trio : ) very similar to the young Great Blue herons, except for the colouring. and guess maybe these are smaller. Glad you enjoy your long lens, love my 100-400L too, have used that lens most of any of mine, so far.
Guest - May 15, 2007 08:06 PM EDT Thank you both. I am using the Nikon 80-400 VR lens, and I love it. I can really see a big difference in my photos since I bought a better lens.
Guest - May 15, 2007 07:58 AM EDT WOW!!what a great shot.
Guest - May 14, 2007 03:28 AM EDT Really nice shot. You must be using a great lens to get that shallow depth of field. Nicely composed.
Guest - May 13, 2007 08:48 PM EDT Thank you both. I had never seen young ones like this before either. We have lived in Florida for a couple of years, but I had never been to Gatorland before. I always thought it was just a touristy place. I had no idea that they had a large breeding marsh and nesting site. I will definetly being visiting it every spring. It is truly amazing.
