About This Image

This is part of my Fathers day present to a man I think of as my hero. This did take me a long time to do.
First I had to get the backgrounds cleaned off all these photos I put together. Then I had to decide where I wanted each of them and the significance of them.

The one photo you will see was his Ari Force portrait taken in 1968. I turned that to sepia aged by 50 and then proceeded to fade it into the background.

The most current photo of Dad was taken this past Memorial Day while he was giving a speech as the commander of the local VFW.

Thank you for looking at this. I consider this my proudest work to date

What a beautiful tribute to your Dad. His face in the stars of the FLAG he fought for is so touching - to me - remembering World War II and that terrible time. A beautiful gift to your Father. ((HUgs)))

Hi Zoya, I was stationed at Amarillo AFB (Texas), Lowery AFB (Denver), and Bitburg AFB, Germany (for 3-1/2 years). I currently live about 10 miles from Travis. It would appear that your Dad and I never crossed paths. My dad died 18 years ago and I wish I could wish him a "Happy Father's Day" one more time.

Doug where were you stationed. I would be curious to know if you know my Father. one of the bases he was at is Lachland, Travis, Chanute. from there he was sent to Thailand during the war. Then he was Pease AFB where he married my Mother. I salute you Sir. All military deserves my highest regards Zoya

A thoughtful and meaningful montage Tammi. Your Dad will be impressed. What significance does the date May 14th on the flag have? You did a very nice job of putting the photos together
