About This Image

While on our trip from Arizona to California we stopped out in the Goffs area and took a break. The trains are always going by and I caught this shot of one going over a desert wash. Sometimes they have engines on both ends of the trains, this train was going backwards not forward like you would think LOL.. Got Ya..

Hi Mary, Thanks very much for your nice comment.. With my slow shutter speed the engines would be blurry in either direction but with it going backward the blurriness is in front instead of going back :) Did that make any sence? LOL.. I'm really surprised this came out at all taking it hand held. I'm glad you enjoyed my photo.

I was studying this photo before I read your description. I thought the motion should be at the end but it looked like the beginning...you explained it though...going backwards! Nice capture Alan.

Hi Zoya, Golda, and Tania.. Thanks very much for looking at my photo and for your nice comments :) It is funny to see the engines at the end of the train going back-wards.

In Canada the second engine sometimes in the middle of the train is called a "slave unit"providing extra power.Another wonderful train shot!!!
