About This Image

Propping my tripod up in the middle of heavy traffic to get this shot would not have been a smart thing to do, so I chose a location with a bend in the road, and shot from the roadside with my telephoto.

Taken near sunset along the beach road on Alameda Island, near Oakland, California.

Wonderful clear shot. Thanks for mentioning how you took the shot, it makes sense now as I was thinking you were brave with standing in the middle of the road or doing a stunt kind of a lean out of a sunroof or something! The sky is rather dark, was the weather turning?
