About This Image

A type of fungi I found in a damp area of the garden. Dad used to tell me the thunder made them, when I was younger, so I have called it a Thunder Ball!

Thank you Alandra. I checked it again today and it is even bigger and also noticed 2 more popping up from the soil close by. I have actually seen some that are a perfect octagonal shape, this one is a little distorted! Thank you for commenting and viewing :)
