About This Image

A sign said "Stone Bridge" as we neared Nauvoo, IL, so we detoured to see it. Even though the Mississippi appears e at her proper level, extreme draughts are obvious by the sight of ruined, parched cornfields, and dry creek beds, such as this picturesque spot.

Great capture Vicki. I, too, am drawn to bridges of all kinds and this is a beautiful shot.

Thank you, Talsi, Alandra and Don. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Alandra - the stone hump bridge at Beacon Park in Victoria was always my favorite! This one is hidden from the road and easy to miss.

spotted this immediately. Love it. Stone bridges always appeal to me, as they remind me of my childhood in England, and walks with my maternal grandma, my aunt and their dog.
