getting back to you, Karen, as was in a rush earlier &forgot to thank you : )- maybe the thistle you saw before was a different type. This is quite a large type, but there is a smaller one, that doesn't have such a large area below the flower. --to be honest, I wasn't that happy with this one, and mainly just wanted to show Fella, as had told him on his thistle pic, that coincidentally, had taken a thistle pic around the same time he had : )- and that we could see his area from where we were at the beach that same evening- perhaps you saw my comment on his pic. I had considered removing it once he'd seen it, - but strange as things often happen, it got several hits, - so guess it will stay here after all : ) Have noticed several times before, that pics that I'm not that pleased with, others seem to like, and vice versa.

hi alandra..yes i am near the refinerys ..were i take most of my bird shots is at lummi bay what is a clear shot to boundry bay from there .go commercial sockeye fishun in boundry bay when were open ..not this year tho..so yes pretty familiar with the waters up there ..crab town the ferrys .coal dock ..and the point ..great shot on the thistle

Oh, I thought the area under the flower had seeds. It looked like that on the thistle I shot.
