About This Image

Bogojavlensky cathedral & Iverskaja chapel. The wooden church was built in the 17 century by prince I. Shahovsky (father of the the known Russian historian ). Then it has burned down. In 18 century cathedral was built. The architectural style is the Sibirian borokko. In the 1929 this cathedral was closed. In the 1990 restoration works have begun. The iconostasis consecrated by modern Moscow icon painters from the Troice – Sergey’s laurels.
