Karen Moen - Dec 23, 2008 11:05 PM EDT Thank you, Tanya, Don, Bubbalinn, Carol, Art, Zoya and Talsi, for all your nice comments. The only extra equipment I used was a tripod! Lol! I just watched a History Channel program about Christmas and they proposed that the Wisemen were referring to a conjunction of Jupiter and Venus as the Christmas star. Intruiguing thought to say the least.
talsi - Dec 05, 2008 09:49 AM EDT Very nice - much better than I can do
Zoya - Dec 02, 2008 11:35 PM EDT Excellent shot
I wished i had the equipment to capture this myself.
we were not clouded in here in CT. and what a site it was to see.
Art57 - Dec 02, 2008 08:40 PM EDT Very nice capture.

bubbalinn - Dec 02, 2008 07:12 PM EDT Hi Karen, Great capture of the conjunction!! I was also out snapping away, I guess we were lucky with no clouds in sight. I kept changing settings and got photos from overexposed to way underexposed.
donwrob - Dec 02, 2008 12:41 PM EDT Hey Karen, very nice capture of the gathering! I like the earthglow you caught on the moon. I have been waiting for this for months to photograph it. It just wasn't meant to be :-(. We were completely socked in with clouds here. I actually thought of driving about 8 hrs East to try and find an opening yesterday, but decided not to. Very nice work! Don
Tanya - Dec 02, 2008 10:14 AM EDT Nice capture. I had too much cloud cover to photograph it, but I did get a glimpse of it as the clouds were passing through.
