Guest - Sep 25, 2007 11:08 AM EDT Thanks Alandra. Yes this was taken on one of our favourite walks. We usually walk up through the field and woods, at the top, to get to the local pub.
Guest - Sep 24, 2007 11:05 PM EDT this was the first one I spotted of yours, here, Jas and mistakenly thought it was "a stile", as have always loved those, remembered from childhood days in Hampshire. It is a lovely image. Agree with Steve also about "that certain light" that happens in the Fall. Have been commenting on this lovely light to DH as we've been driving around the local fields, as the sun goes down. It always looks esp pretty on the newly cut hayfields, imo. Love this time of year!

Guest - Sep 24, 2007 10:16 AM EDT This is a token comment on this particular image, but is really a comment on your whole gallery. I think it's superb!
In this particular shot, I especially love the contrast between the shaded gate and the sunlit field beyond. It really evokes the special golden sunlight that you only get in autumn. Perfect exposure, and simple but effective composition. A technical and artistic success on every level!
