Wendy, your finches in your photos look very similar to the ones I rescue off Flame. So sorry to hear that your cat got one. They are real pretty birds.

Thanks for your comment. I would like to look at your gallery but don't know what you are listed under. If you could tell me, I will have a look at your photos. Flame brings birds inside all the time, some them not as lucky as the one this day. Most of them are finch-like type of birds.

Flame looks very proud with the feather in his mouth! I'm glad you were able to rescue the bird, I was not so lucky when my kitty got one of the house finches from my bird photos, I dont know if she got the ones in the pictures exactley but I have not seen them around here anymore since then. I was really upset afterwards, I feel like the male and female mate for life so I feel like it was a terrible loss to him.Oh well I guess it is just life in the wild.
