About This Image

We managed to get within about 30 feet away from this guy, my daughter was very careful as he could have charged, we drove very carefully past and nice and quite. they had room to make a run for it either way, they stood back and kept an eye on us.

Thankyou Azkul for looking in and the kind comment, there are some fantastic looking animals on this block of land, we didn't go through there on this trip as the tracks were to muddy and slippery.

Thanks Karen and Jas for looking in, yes I'm sure we were very lucky to get this close, and as for taking this shot i was in the ute, accounts for the slight blur, I didn't think getting out was to good of an idea.

This is a wonderful shot Lorraine. He is looking very superior as he stands there 'watching' you! Where did you take this shot? :)

I just read your comment, Lorraine. I think they rub their antlers to get rid of the velvet and sharpen the tips as the antlers harden and dry. It must itch or cause some discomfort as they ready themselves for the rut. You were lucky to get so close.

Great catch of the grass dangling from the antlers as the testosterone flows!

Thanks Whittler for looking in, I'm not sure what you call it but I think whats hanging off the antler's is the velvet. I know it's off the antlers anyway.
