About This Image

The #1702 is a 2-8-0 Consolidation locomotive built by Baldwin in the early 1920's, it now serves proudly as part of the Smoky Mountain Railroad in western North Carolina (shown here at Dillsboro), although it is now under restoration.

Nice composition and leading lines. Good capture of the smoke. This train no longer runs our of Dillsboro. As so lmany businesses lately, they had to cut back on expenses. The Dillsboror merchants were dismayed to see it go.

Thank you Art57 I appreciate the comment. I have both color and B/W shots of this train that I took of it and I agree the B/W version gives it that nostalgia look more then color ever will, though I did run a few color shots through Photoshop and desaturated the color and they look kind o nostalgic in a way too.
