Tattered Butterfly

know what you mean, Don, as feel the same way, - it is sad, the very pretty creatures have such a short lifespan. As it happened, I got so few pics of the butterflies at the Rainforest place, (which is why I went there) so I decided to add them here, tattered or not : ) The red Ibis were a bonus that I had no idea were there, so it wasn't a wasted visit.

Nice shot, for some reason I never save butterfly photos with tattered wings and I should. I think because it makes me a little sad, knowing they are near the end of their life cycle. Nice capture, Don
