About This Image

Swan, believe it's an Immature swan, but have to check the bird book, unless anyone can advise me first :) Am judging by the swan's grey beak and the beige feathers amongst the white ones. There were 3 others nearby, so chances are that this one's one of the adult swans' youngsters, perhaps from last year's breeding season.
Like the grey feet, like grey "gum boots" :)

Am hoping to see some new young swans (cygnets) in that area soon. Would love to capture an image of the cygnets being carried on the parent swan's back! Dream on, Alandra - -

thanks for the input Steve, - as you say, the feet do look strangely large. The adult swan in the other photo, really put on a performance while I stood on the bridge above. At one point, she stuck one leg and foot out, LOL, not sure if I captured that or not, took so many, but it was quite entertaining.

I'm sure this is a young swan as you say, Alandra. It's nearly finished its first moult, but hasn't got the beak colour yet. Its feet look a size too large!
