About This Image

Checked out a small park today that I've driven past so often, and have never being into, I heard that a group of people had got together and cleaned it up, it was a pleasant surprise, On old fellow there told me he had no idea of the name of this tree but had always called it strip bark, he had no idea why or where that name came from.

Thankyou talsi and Whittler for looking in and kind comments, I'm going to try and find the right name for this tree, Ive being told by another person that Strip bark was a child hood name for this tree because of the bark coming of in narrow strips, but they said they thought it was an old fashioned nick name by children,
