About This Image

A secluded stream which looks as if it's in the heart of the country, but is in fact right next to a supermarket! How the camera can lie!

Thanks for your comments, May, Don and Alex. May, you're right that nature doesn't care why something's there - if it can use it, it will! Don, the stream itself is probably ancient, but the concrete banks are only a few years' old.

Cool capture Steve. I like the curve and reflection. Is it very old do you know? Like possibly even Roman? Nice work buddy! Don

I loves little streams. In Panama City, the streams are contained in concrete for stormwater runoff and then go into square "ponds". Oddly, because these are fed by natural creeks, they have turtles, fish, attract birds, many insects in the green and sludgy water, and some of the prettiest dragons and damsels land on floating diapers! Lovely shot. You'd never guess...

Thanks, Lorraine. Yes, I was shooting this through some stout railings!

I thought you must have beng out into the country, very well kept stream but high straight banks if any one or thing fell in, could be hard to get out. hope its well fenced. good shot.
