Guest - Aug 06, 2005 01:11 AM EDT Thanks for your comments Lulu, Whittler and Alandra. I have a full shot of this memorial. However I haven't brought myself to post it on my gallery as the full mid day sun shadows some of it - but I may do so, so you can all see the whole thing.
My hubby was telling me the other day that Hastings does not have enough park lands for the number of residents that dwell here. But Cornwall park is definitely a well treasured one.
Guest - Aug 02, 2005 03:12 AM EDT love this type of lion statue/figure. nice that they've been restored. Nice hearing about the children having their pics taken on these lions, over the years : )
these parks do add so much to our lives.
Guest - Jul 30, 2005 02:39 PM EDT Great shot, and nice restoration as well.
Guest - Jul 30, 2005 05:38 AM EDT Every kid in Hastings has sat on these lions at some stage in their lives - and most have had a photo on them. There are four of these situated around a central monument. I don't know how old they are but they were in well need of a restoration. This park is beautiful to photograph. Mel, I like the chinese pagoda photos which were also taken in this park. We are so lucky to have such a lovely park.
