About This Image

I'm not sure if these deer are hand-fed, but they have no fear of Man. We stopped along the road and saw about a dozen nibbling at the sweet Spring shoots. They weren't concerned by our presence at all. I was surprised to see how many still had not shed all their heavy winter coats yet.

Thank you lorraine, Orchidea Blue, Mary and Cindy. I'm used to seeing deer running in Michigan and Florida. This is something new to me - watching them casually stand around and watch. If you noticed, not a single tail is flagging a cautionary warning to its mates. Vicki

This is a very lovely shot. I too had an occasion to see 4 of these, they saw me, looked at me for a minute or two and then they just skipped away in the forest, they are lovely aninals.
