About This Image

I think this is a Freesia. They were growing in many colours at my brother-in-laws workplace. He came out to find me on the ground taking photos! I don't know what he thought. I don't care though, I got some good shots.

coincidence, Lulu, as saw Freesia bulbs for sale which looked the same as this, shortly after seeing your photo here, forget the name now. Did try growing freesias onetime many years ago, without success, so never tried since. Yes, they do come in many pretty colours, "Easter colours" it seems to me, - yellows, mauves, pale purples, pinks, white, and as you say, all with a wonderful scent. I often buy them for my Mum.

Thanks BB, Alandra and Dud for your comments. Yes, these did have a lovely scent. Freesias always do in my experience. I had only been used to seeing the yellow variety but lately have come across a lot of other colours. I found that these look really different in this close-up angle.

first time I've seen this one also. My first thought was "dreamlike" also, and notice 2 other comments with the same feeling. Did the flowers have a lovely scent? Freesias are my Mum's favourites, they are beautiful.

I love the softness of this photo and how the front of it only is in focus. The colours are very pretty.

This looks like greeting card material. I would certainly buy a card that had this gorgeous flower on it. Tania is right, it looks dreamy. Great macro!

I'm glad you like it Tania. I'm not too sure if a lot of other people do. But I do and thats all that matters.
