About This Image

Walking in our neighbouring city of Napier, trying to get some nice Art Deco architectural shots, I saw this neat little vintage sports car all polished up. What I really wanted to do was jump in and go for a spin but had to settle with taking a photo of it.

Lulu, I was sure I had left a comment on this. To echo the other comments, superb shot. Any time you are looking for a 'Thelma', I'm your gal! This car looks very fast LOL.

Well, this was certainly a surprise since I forgot I had entered. My last comment, I was a wee bit excited so was a little over the top. I have deleted that but would still like to thank all the people who have left comments in my absence from the site.

Congratulations on a very well deserved win, Lulu! Since this was posted long before I joined TLF, I'd never seen it before, but I'm glad I have now! The contrasting qualities of the reflections in the chrome and the paintwork add something special.

Hi Alandra. You know, sometimes I feel like Thelma or Louise. Probably Louise though as I like the letter "L". Its funny, growing up Shirree and I used to watch the Laverne and Shirley show. She used to say she was Shirley and I was Laverne. I always wanted a big "L" on my clothing :-) Glad you like the photo. I like this one also but would prefer the real car. Although, my hair would get a little messy.

Hi Lulu, was sure I left a comment on this one awhile ago, but don't see it. anyway, I like it also. and smiled at the Thelma and Louise comment : ) wanted to mention that I just left a long comment on your Winter Rose photo. Miss you, so came here looking for you. bye for now, Alandra

Tania, you must have been leaving a comment while I was as you weren't there to thank so I will do that now. I just wish my car looked this shiny all the time but living on a country road, thats never going to happen. At least I got the colour right. Yes, red does go faster.

Hi Mary. If I remember rightly, this was a two seater so I'm game if you are. Thelma and Louise look out!

Hi Lulu, love this shot. there is the car with the lights and wheels most important it is red so must go faster, then the reflection of the buildings. Gives different depths to the photo. alot to look at I love it

I'm with you Lulu, I'll join you for the spin. Nice angle shot and gorgeous color.

Hi Mel, yes I did get a full shot but its not very good. It is an MG so probably not really a vintage but it sure is a classic!

Hi Lulu, this is a beauty and a good angle, get you get a full shot? It looks like it would be a nice car.
