Thanks for the great comments, Carol, Lorraine, and Alan. When I got there, there was a couple that had just fininsed walking up the lane - I found myself wishing I had been there a few minutes sooner in order to have them in the photo for interest and scale.

Very nice, reminds me of some of the places that I have seen down the South Island, pretty colours.

Beautiful photo! Everything about it is perfect from your composition to the time of day.. The only thing missing is me walking down the road :)
