About This Image

Beautiful Snowy Owl in our area, in the wild, image captured near the beach at Boundary Bay, BC. So happy to get these images, as the Snowies will be leaving this month. Lucky to get the eyes open, as they have them closed a lot in the daytime :)

lol, (thanks May for the nice comments) glad you like the owl shots, -- you should take a trip up here to see our wildlife and scenery etc. Would love to see your part of the world also, DH has lived in FLA but I've never been there.

The whole bunch of us needs to park ourselves in your yard for the winter and take photos of snowies and baldies. What? No ravens? Lucky you....Great shot.

A brilliant shot, Alandra. The yellow eyes in the white face are very striking.

Hi Lorraine, many thanks, am glad you like these. Am not sure if they are protected, but am pretty sure nobody around here would hurt them, most people watching them are very protective of them, even when we're taking pics of them, which is good.

This is nice I like his eyes, are they protected so people don't hunt them, it would be a shame to, where do they go to when they leave your area.
