About This Image

smaller flock of snow geese take to the sky. They did this several times while I was there, but they just circled and returned to the same place :) - with much noise of flapping wings and honking calls.
I like the background hills and bare tree silhouettes in this one.

Hi Golda, we did notice some people yesterday, in another area, taking footage of the snowgeese with video cameras. This was taken in the farmlands enroute to Ladner, can't recall the exact street, we just drive all over the place, hoping to see something worth "shooting" :) To be honest, couldn't quite "place" these hills myself, unless they're on the Island :)

Hi Karen, thanks for the nice comment, - believe you're correct about the movie, as someone else mentioned this also. Will have to look for the movie as can't recall if I ever saw that, altho would think I would have.

Beautiful wildlife capture. You mentioned the book about snowgeese. I remember a movie with Richard Harris about them, probably based on the book.

thanks very much for the nice comments, Carol, Alex and Tania. Was quite pleased how that scene turned out. Like the few geese on the ground too.

thankyou Lorraine, - a longtime friend from NZ came to stay with us several years ago, and they really felt "at home" here, with the scenery. She lives at Waimate, South Canterbury.

I like this one also, almost missed it, the hills in the back ground remind me of some down south that we see as soon as we arrive, very similar.
