About This Image

This image was featured in the Ft Myers paper last fall. I was walking out on a pier when I noticed the brown pelican was not moving - its wing was snagged by a carelessly disposed of fish hook.

I was surprised that it was so calm and let the guys cut the line to free it.

Gald to see that they made it. Nice capture. We see way too much of this and it is usually is from public piers.
