whittler113 - Jun 07, 2008 04:38 PM EDT Thanks for the great comment Ann,that little finch flew right into the window so Carol went out to see if she could help it stay warm till it came to.
A.Lovely - May 20, 2008 10:10 PM EDT What a wonderful touching photograph of Shutterbug with this sweet
little bird. So well captured.
Guest - Jul 18, 2007 02:02 PM EDT lol, Alex, maybe that's why people say "bird brains".
Guest - May 20, 2007 01:08 PM EDT Thanks for the comment Alandra,these little guys sure are tough even if they aren't too smart.lol
Guest - May 19, 2007 03:25 AM EDT am late seeing this one, Alex and Carol, but am glad I finally did. Such a sweet photo and am also happy that the little finch survived. We used to have this happen a lot, on our solarium windows, til we put some matchstick bamboo blinds up. It was a race between the cats we had at that time, and me, to get to the fallen birds, down in the garden below.
Guest - Apr 22, 2007 07:09 PM EDT Thanks for the comments Don and Marsha,I'm glad you enjoyed it.Many birds have flown into our windows and recovered quickly,but this one must have been going full throttle.lol
Guest - Apr 22, 2007 05:28 PM EDT Great capture Carol and Alex! Very cool. I'm glad she recovered, neat you got to hold her like that. Don
Guest - Apr 22, 2007 03:31 PM EDT How cute. I am glad to hear he survived.
Guest - Apr 20, 2007 07:27 PM EDT Thanks for all the great comments,I'm glad you enjoyed it.This little guy thought the reflection in the window was the trees he was heading for.Maybe I better rub some dirt on the window.lol
Guest - Apr 19, 2007 10:31 PM EDT Good one Carol and Alex, you got me with this one. When I saw the small photo I went "No Way" I can't compete with this ROFL... Great photo and story.
Guest - Apr 19, 2007 08:32 PM EDT Aha! And here I thought Carol had enticed the little one into her hand! great shot and so precious. Vicki
Guest - Apr 19, 2007 06:54 PM EDT What a great story, Carol and Alex. And now you see that there's a downside to your perfectly clean windows - no bird would bump into mine!!
Guest - Apr 19, 2007 04:44 PM EDT How wonderful!! To hold a goldfinch in your hand would be quite an experience. So little and soft. A wonderful picture.
Guest - Apr 19, 2007 04:32 PM EDT Hi Mary;
This poor little finch had hit our window and was laying on the ground,I went out and picked it up and held it until it could fly off on its own.I was very happy it came to or I would of had to have a burial for the poor little bird.
Carol
Guest - Apr 19, 2007 04:14 PM EDT Amazing! What is the story behind the photo? How is it possible that you are hand feeding the Finch? Great capture.
