A beautiful capture Beverly, It gets it's name 'Shooting Star' from the shape of it's showy flowers, the petals are swept backwards to reveal the golden anthers. Latin name for this plant is; Dodecatheon. I have enjoyed viewing this image, thanks for sharing Chriss:)

What a nice capture, Talsi. The coloring is beautiful to view and also the vertical lines are pleasing to the eye. Nice composition.
