Thanks Mike, Carol and Alandra. It's funny, but I have a reputation for being prepared to eat just about anything, but I'd always drawn the line at a live raw oyster! Well, I did try them (with wine vinegar and chopped shallots, Mike) and although the experience wasn't as ghastly as I'd feared, I don't think I'll become a great oyster fan! The background is a marble chopping board!

Not sure if oyster stew is something I've ever tasted, but we love clam chowder, especially the "red" type. Must admit I have the same sentiments as Carol re the raw oysters, but I've fried them and enjoyed a couple at a time.

have had oysters too with a dash of lemon and then eaten raw wonderful can only eat a few too.. now as for the composistion i think it works well with the background they were laid on ...
