About This Image

I had removed and set aside the bottom part of our squirrel-proof bird feeder, with some sunflower seeds still in it. This guy found it, and spent a solid half hour pigging out. He finally waddled away, probably to find a place to sleep it off. I hope he wasn't reverse-engineering how the feeder works while he was in there, so he could defeat it next winter.

agreeing with the other comments, this is really cute :) Ours have destroyed a plastic feeder, they just chewed the openings to make them larger. They perform many acrobatic tricks in order to reach the food in the feeders. But despite all that, I still enjoy watching them.

Very cute shot and funny narrative! our squirrels have broken two feeders and figured out how to get at the others by hanging from the perches. They are incredibly intelligent rodents---just like rats.

What a great, fun shot! He sure looks a clever little chap, even if he is a greedy one. :)
