The natural lighting is nice on this shot instead of glare from a flash. Nice job. Welcome to the site and thanks for sharing your photos.

Hi Brett,I like your self portrait as well, the lighting is nicely subdued-there is some info in the forum on the main page about lighting and there is 10 lessons free on one of the links.Hope this helps.
