About This Image

This shows the snow capped San Francisco Peaks, behind Flagstaff, Arizona. The picture was taken from Jerome, 80 miles away. The red stone monoliths in the photo are in and around Sedona, Arizona. The long horizontal line across the photo is the edge of the Colorado Plateau, one of the largest plateaus in the world.

Thanks Alovely and Alandra. I now have a new Canon G9 camera with a 6X lens and 12.1MP resolution. I can't wait to get back to Jerome on a clear day and get another shot at this.

very impressive, Gary. Wonderful scene.Like the way the red stone shows up, giving a very nice contrast with the darker colours.
